NO THE MASSACRE IN THE VALLEY OF THE DORDOGNE!

- Threat on one of the most beautiful sites in France, classified by UNESCO, pride of Périgord.
- Wastage of the money from our taxes: 50 million for a disproportionate road infrastructure totally useless.
- Democracy flouted: 90% opposition during the public inquiry.

IN DEMOCRACY NO IT'S NO!

The castle of Fayrac is a house on the banks of the Dordogne, in the municipality of Castelnaud la Chapelle. The monument has been classified as a historical monument since 1928.

Fayrac Castle was built in the 15th and 16th centuries. It was renovated in the 19th century and has the full features of a fortified castle with its donjon, the main building, the chapel, the watchtowers, the moat and the farmyard. This very well preserved fortress can be admired from all neighboring castles, especially Beynac.

The bypass of Beynac would stand up for the terrace, the traffic passing in front of the castle, seen from Beynac.

Château de Beynac is one of the best preserved and one of the most famous of the Dordogne.

It lies on a cliff and dominates the Dordogne and leads the way in the construction of the diversion.

The origin dates back to the 12th century, when Maynard de Beynac built what was then a dungeon. Standing on the cliff side, 100 m above the Dordogne, beynac occupies an advantageous position, ideal point of observation over the entire valley. His visit takes us through five centuries of French history, in the footsteps of Richard the Lionheart, Simon de Montfort and the Hundred Years War.

The Castelnaud Castle, historical monument in 1966, dominates the Dordogne valley and offers a magnificent panorama of the sites of Beynac, Marqueyssac and La Roque-Gageac.

Castelnaud dates back to the 13th century and is a remarkable medieval fortress that was occupied by the English during the Hundred Years War. The traffic on the bypass bridge will appear exactly in front of the view of the ramparts of Castelnaud in the direction of its great rival in the middle ages, Castle Beynac.

The park Château de Marqueyssac, classified site, emerged from the history of a family dating back to the 17th century. Marqueyssac is one of the most beautiful success stories of romantic gardens from the nineteenth century.

Marqueyssac is the belvedere of the Dordogne, its position makes it the best viewer of the valley, this area offers an untenable view of the two large castles of the valley (Beynac and Castelnaud).

Marqueyssac will be affected by the bypass of Beynac and the establishment of the roundabout.
